The NOSTRADAMUS project includes two Open Calls to support the development, testing and validation of digital applications for sustainable farming and evidence-based policymaking.
The Open Calls are implemented through cascade funding, also known as Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), under Horizon Europe rules.
They are designed for innovators, SMEs, startups, mid-caps, research organisations and digital solution providers working in agriculture, food systems, sustainability or policy support.
Open Call #1
Digital Applications for Farm Decision-Making & Agribusiness
Expected launch: September 2026
This Open Call will support solutions that help farmers and land managers improve decision-making, optimise fertilisation, irrigation, crop protection and resource use, and increase productivity, resilience and sustainability at farm level.
Open Call #2
Digital Applications for Policy Creation & Evaluation
Expected launch: January 2027
This Open Call will support solutions that help policymakers and public authorities design, monitor and evaluate agri-food policies, use real-time and spatial data for evidence-based decisions, and strengthen food security, resilience and sustainability strategies.
Funding available
The total budget for the two Open Calls is €400,000.
Selected third-party projects will benefit not only from funding, but also from access to real-world pilots, data infrastructures, mentoring and validation support.
Relation with the Data Hub
The NOSTRADAMUS EO Data Hub will support the broader project ecosystem by providing access to data discovery, workspace, visualisation and application services relevant to digital agriculture workflows.
Information, examples and guidance related to Data Hub services will be shared progressively on this portal.
